Jules Joern

Jules Joern was raised in Philadelphia and New York City and received her painting degree in 1991 from the Tyler School of Art in Pennsylvania. She also studied abroad in Rome for a year.  Jules is an artist recognized for her stylized figurative paintings, she is interested in visually communicating psychological narratives through the use of the human form. Integrating metaphorical references and focusing on the female figure she is intrigued with the way her subjects take on a new emotional meaning as they manifest their presence on canvas.  Jules has been residing in Santa Fe for the last 14 years and has exhibited locally in various group shows including Harry’s Roadhouse and Salon Margraff.

Darrah Wills

Born in Denver in 1986 and raised in Chicago, Darrah Wills graduated from the College of Santa Fe in 2008 receiving her BFA with focus in Integrated Studio Arts. As an artist experimenting with a variety of mediums and primarily focusing on charcoal drawing, Darrah examines issues of colonialism, domination and dependency.  Though she explores both literal and metaphorical depictions of rural and industrial settings; she views her drawings as a documentation of a changing American landscape and its relationship to our psychosomatic shifts.  She has extensive field experience in art conservation and has displayed her work in several group shows around Santa Fe.
